GGW Tasting Notes | Immediately identifiable aromas of forest floor with a mixture of black cherries, pomegranate, raw cocoa, hints of cola, and a note of fresh thyme. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and sappy at the core, with fine-grained tannins, moderate acids and great backend focus and grip. This bottling is a rare find from Oregon in a hot growing season, which was difficult to produce balanced wines at low alcohols. Though drinking well now, this wine has great potential for short-term cellaring to allow full development of the wines character. |
